In Response To: Hot Springs Spas (-)

We have had our hot springs sovereign hot tub for 16 years. We have used it nearly everyday and sometimes twice a day (especially on winter weekends after skiing). We live in northern Michigan and we use the tub outside all year long, especially in snow. During the summer, we use it very early in the morning only. Our general routine, is to wake up and use the hot tub before breakfast (in place of showering).

We like our hot tub better than most others we have tried. Each location in our tub is designed to massage a different part of the body (shoulders, upper back, lower back, legs, ankles, ribs and spine). It is essential to rotate positions in our tub in order to take full advantage of it.

The best part about our tub is the height, which is 29 inches. Most tubs are much deeper, which makes them more difficult to enter, and more expensive to heat. We find the 29" depth the perfect mix of hot water with cold air. We have found that deeper tubs do not offer the same reclining position as ours. And deeper tubs do not offer the opportunity to cool off in the winter air.

Our tub came with an all inclusive 5-year warranty, which is a good thing, because virtually everything was replaced during the first five years. Since then, we have continued to replace items, but not nearly as often as during the first five years. We even had the motor replaced after about 12 years, but that was far less expensive than replacing the tub.

We have considered replacing our tub, but we have not found a design that we like better.
