In Response To: Gulf Coast Spas (-)

Put in a patio and always wanted a spa. Seemed like an opportune time. Bought the Gulf Coast spa based on price and what appeared to be a quality tub. This tub has 1 5HP 2 speed pump that is more than adequate. The air jets are mostly obnoxious and cold and I dont care about aroma therapy so they dont get much use. The array of Jets (18 water) are plenty for me. The lounger is Very comfortable. The first I time fired up this tub I lost about 75 gallons of water underneath the thing because the back pressure on the jets caused a hose to pop off (the clamp was never put in place). Not a biggie to fix, but a little frustrating when it is the first time being used. After about two months of use, I had a problem with water leaking around the control panel due to a sloppy silicone sealant job when the tub was assembled. The VERY slight leak was dripping on the Spa Pack and causing the breaker to trip. Again, a simple problem but a little irritating (it was kind of comforting to know that such a small amount of leakage near the electronics would shut it off though). After approx. 9 months, the LED display on the control pad started flickering and became difficult to read. As this was still under warranty, I had a new one shipped to me in a couple days and hooked it up myself. Often times a company's reputation is defined more by how they respond to a customer's problems rather than the problem itself. The tech-support crew at Gulf Coast has so far been first rate and always available when I needed them. With all that said, this is still an excellent tub for $3700.
