We purchased a Hawkeye spa two years ago. We have had nothing but troulble with our spa. It has been servide three times in two years. It is currently not operating (broken for the past 7 weeks), control pack (motherboard) is defective. Our spa is under warranty yet they have been VERY uncooperative in helping us get it fixed. Hawkeye keeps giving us the runaround. There is only one authorized Hawkeye service rapairman in our region. We contacted this repairman and he tells us that this part is on backorder from Hawkeye. Hawkeye tells us that the repair center is not paying their bills and they wont ship any parts to them. They tell us he is the only person in our area that can service the spa yet they wont give him the part to fix our spa. They tell us they would ship us the part and maybe we could install it ourselves except they want us to pay $580.00 for the part, which is still under full warranty (labor and parts)and after we send them the defective part they will allegedly refund our money. They claim this is there policy yet it is not in my warranty agreement. They refuse to send us the part unless we pay them the $580.00 upfront (SCAM). They were very rude on the phone and would not help us in any way. WE are currently filing a complaint with the consumer protectio agency and the better business bureau. WOULD NEVER HAVE PURCHASED FROM THEM IF WE HAD KNOWN THEY WERE NOT AN HONEST BUSINESS>
