This spa has NOT lived up to expectations. After the warranty expired we noticed the spa started leaking. I raised the spa onto blocks to assess the problem. The spa is of a foam-filled construction where foam encases the shell and plumbing. The foam is required to support the flimsy shell and is not primarily for insulation as the manufacturers claim. As I dug the foam away to expose the source of the leak I found four leaks! The leak rate was about 50 gallons per day! Furthermore, the foam was degraded to spongy open-cell foam from rigid closed cell foam, degrading its insulating and support capabilities, apparently from contact with the brominated water. The local Sundance spa maintenance representative told me the leaks are due to bad glue joints and they will all eventually fail. He concluded the spa is not worth fixing due to the labor involved in exposing/fixing the leaking joints, re-foaming, and certain prospect of numerous leaks in the future. I now have a 700 lb. piece of junk in my back yard that I paid over $5000 for just seven years ago! Sundance would not replace the spa as it was out of warranty. Buyer Beware!!!!
