HELLO ALL. I HAVE SEARCHED FOR THE PAST YEAR FOR A SPA WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD. UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME, THIS WAS HARDER THAN I THOUGHT. I HAD HEARD FROM FRIENDS THAT HOTSPRINGS WAS THE WAY TO GO, SO I WENT TO MY NEAREST DEALER WHICH WAS IN MORTON IL, AND FOUND THAT THERE IS A LOT OF OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN BUYING A HOT TUB THAN JUST PRICE AND JETS. I LOOKED AT THE GRANDEE AND LIKED IT AS WELL AS MY WIFE. PRICE WAS NOT AN ISSUE HOWEVER, BUT I WAS NEVER OFFERED THE OPTION TO TRY OUT THE HOT TUB. I WENT TO ANOTHER RETAIL LOCATION ON PEORIA, IL.AND FOUND THE SUNDANCE SPAS DEALER. I SAW THE OPTIMA. I LIKED IT SO MUCH THAT I TRIED IT THERE IN THE STORE. I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY THERE WAS A HUGE PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ONE HIGH END TO THE NEXT. BUT I DID LEARN THAT A LOCAL DEALER USED TO CARRY THE SAME LINE FOR $1800 MORE THAN WHERE I HAD PURCHASED IT FROM. I NOW KNOW THAT HOTSPRINGS HAS A CONTROL ON PRICE AND THERFORE DICTATING THE RETAIL SIDE OF IT CALLED MINIMUM ADVERTISED PRICING. I WAS A LITTLE CONFUSED WHEN I READ ONE OF THE HOTSPRINGS TO SUNDANCE COMPARISON. IT READ THAT SUNDANCE SHOULD BE COMPARED TO TIGER RIVER...BECAUSE OF PRICE! THIS, I FELT UNDERMINED THE LARGEST NAME IN THE WORLD...JACUZZI. I ALSO HAD A MISCONCEPTION OF HIGHER PRICE MEANS BETTER PRODUCT. KEEP IN MIND, THAT WHEN YOU PURCHASE PRODUCT FROM THE LARGEST VOLUME DEALER, PRICING WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN A "MOM AND POP" STORE. I BELIEVE THAT I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION AND OPEN THE DOOR TO ANYONE WHO HAS A QUESTIONS ABOUT MY OPTIMA. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ON PRODUCT LINE AND FEATURES, I MAY NOT BE THE BEST AT IT BUT I WOULD DEFINATELY TRY. OTHERWISE, CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL DEALER, AND REMEMBER TO TRY OUT THE HOT TUB YOU WANT.
