Chairman I / 2002

After wet testing a number of spa's the D1 Chairman just fit us the best. Providing jets where we needed them and room enough not to bump into each other. At the time I was dealing with osteo arthritis, my wife had previously had 1 back surgery and another planned. Using the tub has significantly relieved my symptoms and provided considerable relief for my wife. After 2 years of ownership the Chairman has been a joy! Very easy to maintain, less than $25 a month increase on my electric bill. My wife enjoys the lounger it provides relief where she needs it, I enjoy the deeper seat with neck/shoulder jets and six add ional jets directed at my back and 2 smaller jets on my thighs. The secondary control pad...though VERY Handy would make more sense between the 2 deep seats rather than to the left of the sport seat. I initially wanted a tub with disco LED lights, surround sound and a pop up LCD TV. (Not offered at the time by D1) So after setting up the tub I had music pumped in from the house, a 12v TV mounted in a corner of the Gazebo and candles everywhere. Now 2 years later, TV is gone, speakers are gone! Truth be known...sitting in the dark, floating, no noise, no light no distraction is the most relaxing way to enjoy the tub. I don't regret not having a multimedia center in the tub. Problems: Small tear in cover noticed after one month, it was immediately replaced by the dealer. This spring (2004) the VCR jets on my favorite seat seemed to close when the jets were on high for any length of time: Dealer suggested I clean them in vinegar. When that didn't work, The dealer replaced them 4 days after my e-mail. We enjoy our Chairman as I mentioned in the opening...it just fit the best! |
