Cape Cod / 2006

I had another Master Spa that I bought in 1998. I don't remember the model but it worked great! Now I have this 2006 Cape Cod. I'm listing it in Craig's List but if it doesn't sell I'll probably just haul it to the dump. It doesn't keep the water clean, it's noisy, and it's power hungry. There was a break down in communications when I bought it. I thought it had the 24 hour pump for filtration but it doesn't. Master Spas tells me their newer tubs all have this feature so if you are looking at any older Master Spa tub make sure it has this. I saw a review of the 2004 Cape Cod here that mentioned a twice/week chemical maintenance schedule. Maybe if I do that it will keep the water clean but I put chemicals in my old Master Spa maybe once every couple months. I cleaned the filters frequently but replaced them only once in almost seven years. When I complained about the Cape Cod not keeping the water clean the dealer asked if I had changed the filters yet. This thing only went on line in Feb of this year, of course I have not changed the filters yet! In my opinion the Cape Cod is a $1500 spa that should be sold through Home Depot. Avoid it! Monte
