2005 PENTA

Well we bought the hot tub in Dec. 2005. After thoroughly cleaning, filling and chemically treating our hot tub, I climbed in. I broke out in a full body rash from head to toe. We had to drain...sanitize and start all over. I looked online to find out what could have possibly caused the reaction and ran across a nasty little rash causing bacteria that you would find in an already "used" and not properly maintained hot tub, not one that is brand spanking new. Six months later the main board went out. Another three months later and out of nowhere we have no power to our hot tub. Come to find out that the entire spa pack had to be replaced. So...we have been sitting here almost all fall (six weeks) with no running hot tub while we supposedly are waiting for a spa pack on back order. I called Great Lakes Home and Resort, and apparently these are parts kept in stock because of the newness of the hot tub. Interesting. Would I ever purchase another Great Lakes Spa. NO. Would I recommend a Great Lakes Spa to anyone? NO. So far nothing has been resolved, but a repairman did stop by last week and put a rusty (and I mean old and rusty) tank heater in our tub to keep the pipes from freezing. |
